Gas cap / fuel tank location????
Is that a gas cap on the passenger side - forward of the front door??
I looked at the sale ad pix for a different location and didn't see any.
I asked the same question (and asked if the tank was under the front seat) to an old jeeper yesterday and got this response:
Yup! I think that front tank was an optional auxiliary tank. A neighbor used to have a '71 1110 Travellall I used to work on had a second tank in that location.

My Pops owned a few Travelalls, used them as his work/service truck. After looking at pictures, I'm pretty sure the first was a 1966 2wd. He had a third row seat that slid into the back, not bolted down, no belts. I remember sitting in that seat when he drove us through the Needle's Eye tunnel.
Here you go Jim, dual tanks!

So, I'm guessing the tanks were on the underside of the body below the front seats - inside of the frame to near the driveshaft / trans???. Primary tank was below the passenger?
If I won some crazy lottery - opening the tunnel - permanently - would be on the list.
My dad actually used to have a 1967 IH Travelette. Very cool rig and I still wish he hadn't sold it. His was 4x4, 345 V8, 4 speed manual, and shortbed. Very similar to this.
