Well...this coming weekend is the march anniversary run....looking forward to it! Hoping for decent weather....I guess if it snows a bunch later this week, there may be some change in plans, or at least not everyone will be interested to attend - so please adjust your RSVP on the calendar post.

Have begun thinking about some meeting spots etc. Obviously, just being at Rainbow Falls works for some, but some from the Denver area and north may want to meet in Sedalia before heading over as a group. I generally head to the trailhead (which has plenty of parking and restrooms) via this route: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Seda...5525!3e0?hl=en

Those from the south in the Springs may also want to have an optional meeting spot. I'd say start posting up here...if anything is confirmed I can add it to the calendar posting. Another note: there is no gas or food nearby - especially for those coming from the north through Deckers. There is coffee at the Deckers general store, but you have to get gas in Sedalia or Conifer. For those coming up from the south, Woodland park is last gas and coffee etc.

Soooo, I was going to try and have my rig back together for this week-end but with two out of three weekends having pretty large snow storms that wore me out from clearing my property and a couple others. I just decided not to push the work to be sure I got everything back together the right way. But Mark is still planning on going and Greg is also considering going. I am planning going and riding along with Greg if he does goes but, if for some reason he doesn't I am hoping someone might want some company. (Mark has a couple passengers already). I think this is going to be a great day out there.

I'm slated to go and expect to jump down I-25 to US-85 - right by Englewood. The pass seat is empty at the moment if you (or anyone else) wishes to take it.

Thanks Jim that would be great. Mark and Greg are planning on swinging by my house on the way down. I am planning on driving my pick-up and leave it at the trail head so that afterwards if we want to hang out or anyone needs to split there won't be a problem.

We had a lot snow at my house....I didn't work today (school snow day) and was very tempted to begin pulling the rear axle apart for the locker install. Its not common to have a whole day to work continuously on the jeep. I decided to work on the wiring and the switches etc. Now I have tomorrow off as well...maybe I should pull the axle and find a ride along for sat as well...

I have no idea what I got; I can see grass/rock in places and have up to 4 foot drifts in others.

Thursday a bit mellower, warm Friday, we might be okay to go with the run

We got a foot at our place and more is expected. I worked today but the drive home was miserable with very little visibility. Hwy 74 was a single lane for 8 miles and I was pretty much the only vehicle on the road at 3:30 in the afternoon. Very weird. The guy who plows our road gave up so it was 6+ inches for me the last 1/2 mile or so. Slick as hell.

I'm still a maybe for Saturday, but it would be nice to get a first-hand report (or reliable second hand report) of the trail status. I don't want to go for a winch fest!

Looking at media, Monument was reported as 10 and 12 inches, Woodland Park at 12. No listing for Deckers or Westcreek. The one site claimed 7.5 for Castle Rock; being in that vicinity, my deepest drift measured just over 52 inches, the lightest areas only had maybe 1/2" of crusty stuff, then there was everything in between.

I would guess the same for up there, clear in areas and drifted up in others. I am waiting to see how the sun fares today to make the call, keeping in mind the effect that the trees there will have.

I live in the Woodland Park area and I got over a foot of snow at my house. The main roads were fine this morning though. Bring a winch :-)
