Default Gamble Gulch area this weekend anyone?

I don't know what to expect, I'm assuming most of Gamble Gulch is open but maybe not.... and the connector trails off Gamble that join Dakota Hill and other trails will probably be pretty snowy but who knows until we check them out ;-). It could end up being kind of boring and short.... but we could end up having some fun and getting stuck in some snow and having to turn around. I'm not looking for some big adventure, just a few hours of wheeling that could be pretty adventurous.....

Sunday would probably be best..... let me know if anyone else is interested or has any other ideas!

I wish it didn't take 2 hours to get to the trailhead, I'd be all over it.
Haven't run anything since the beginning of August, I'm getting itchy too!

I can certainly understand. Our playgrounds are too far apart!

My son Sawyer and I decided on running up Gamble Gulch tomorrow. I’m hoping to spend about 4-5 hours playing in the mountain snow and see how far we can go before getting stuck! Weather should be great! Event posted

I went hiking at Caribou today and drove past Gamble Gulch, it's dry at both ends (didn't see the middle) and a minivan was heading up it from the north end when I passed, I don't think it's going to be worth your time. I saw this though, looks like fun:

Matchless is a very easy trail near Nederland. It loops off of Gordon Gulch and is part of a pretty big network of trails. The wind was insane today (obviously) but this would be a great place for droning typically. The views are really good in places and definitely one to check out if you need a winter trail. There are a whole bunch of designated sites every minute or so too. Most of the sites have good views and I was surprised to see a few at the beginning occupied. Final Word: It's fast, it's easy, there's camping and views. Have fun out there!"

There are residents on both ends of Gamble Gulch, but there are numerous connecting trails that branch off it and go to Dakota hill, Jumbo mountain and I’m sure most of these will have serious snow to play in.
Matchless is part of Gordon gulch, which we did a few weeks ago and it’s pretty easy and short.

I’d try Pickle Gulch.... was actually thinking if we didn’t find a lot of options on Gamble that doing Pickle Gulch makes sense because it’s on the south end of Gamble..... I bet Pickle Gulch would be fun but probably some icy sections and deep snow up high

Matt were you able to do a trail today? I would have like to join but I'm trying to get our kitchen floor done before my Vac. is done. I a was lucky to pull away for the weekend and New Years Day.

I did get out with my son - did Gamble Gulch from north to south. Tried a few spurs but they were deep snow and didn’t get far. Got stuck a few times and had fun!! Also did the first part of Pickle Gulch until the steep rocky area, which was icy. The bypass was pure ice so we called it a day...... had we started here we would have winched thru this section but decided to go get lunch instead..... mellow but fun day with my kid!
