    Just learned of this place (Ocotillo Wells, CA) from an early jeep friend - this picture of his jeep in front of the 'tube obstacle' got me doing a bit more research:

    Ocotillo Wells SVRA is one of my favorite areas. True off road. No stay on trail requirements. Just have to watch out for the ATVs and bikes.
