Default A Great VRBO in Grand Junction

I just spent 3 nights here https://www.vrbo.com/998175 and loved it. The owner is an artist who did the remodel himself and it's really nice and very recent so all of it felt new and clean. An oddity I liked is that he sanded and urethaned the OSB subfloor, which sounds cheesey but is really cool in person. It was quiet and private, and the picture of the monument below with all the clouds was taken from the driveway, Liberty Cap is the dome-shaped formation to the left. There's a rooster that is far enough away not to wake you, but if youre up early you can hear him. We also heard coyote. Total price was $502.00 for all three nights, less than a midrange hotel but private, with a full kitchen and in an amazing location- across the street from the Wildwood trailhead. We hiked Liberty Cap to Otto's Bathtub and Ute Canyon to Fallen Rocks and back. The Colorado National Monument is incredible, the paved road around it is pretty scary and Otto's Bathtub was one of the coolest hikes I've done in a long time. Ute canyon was no joke either, between them we did 18.3 miles in two days. We saw sheep in Ute canyon, they photobombed a timelapse in the best way.

Nice Paul. Wife and I just started looking into these kinds of accommodations, we are doing a (family reunion) next year over a weekend on lake front Shadow Mountain. Kind of pricey but can have all the couples in thier own room.

That place looks real nice for sure, and a great price to boot.

My wife and I went there for the first time 2-3 years ago. Didn’t hike but it was beautul non the less. We also went up and saw the hanging flume south out of western montrose. That was fascinating.

The hike into Ute Canyon. You can see the VRBO house / location in the beginning.

The hike to Otto's Bathtub. The first part follows what was a Jeep trail until 1974- check out the narrow tracks that remain, probably a lot of old CJs.

    Nice vid - as always.

Got a kick out of the 360 spin - but look and don't fall off.

    Did you add wind noise?

This the first vid without Java?
