I also had a great time chatting with everyone, Jim suggested the fire ban may have put a damper on the camping this season lending to a very lite trail cleanup. The best news of the day (for me that is), during a camp site clean up I received a text from my son announcing the birth of his third daughter...I couldn't have asked for a better day.

Kaelin and Piper, thanks for being good stewards. Kids need to learn, and unfortunately, parents don't seem to teach responsibility.

I was busy all day today so just getting around to finalizing the monitoring forms and report to Brant along with some photos. If there is anyone who does not want their photos, or photos of themselves or their vehicle passed along to the USFS - please let me know (can be a PM if you prefer). Mostly i will be sending Brant my photos of the log shelters. Did anyone on the DC crew fill out any part of the monitoring form? If so, pass it along to me via email (jc_orofino@hotmail.com) or post it here as a photos. From what I gather, there was only one thing to report from DC, and that is the broken carsonite sign that Jim gave the location map for.

thanks - I will also post a few recreational photos as soon as I get stuff organized.

Ryan and I had the form. Nothing was seen that needed reporting so the form ended up empty. We didn’t do the branch with the broken carsonite.

I can't thank everybody enough for the amazing time I had with my boys and a wonderful crew of people. As a first experience with the group it could not have gone better. I want to post separate about the trip as it was my first.

My experience with folks here is that this was a typical day in the mountains. If you liked this event you'll likely enjoy other gatherings. Good folks enjoying some grand scenery!

Nice to see this report and everyone enjoying themselves. I check in once in a while and miss the runs you all enjoy especially these cleanups. The camaraderie of this group appears as good as ever which is doubly nice to see. I particularly young kids being brought along to get a real understanding of the idea of giving back to the community. Damn, I miss the mountains and trails!

    Keep it up folks!

Here are some of the other log structures - I consider these a bit more 'forest art' than concern over squatting, but I did ask Brant about them. We'll see what he has to say.
