I read that this morning, and was so frustrated for these people. It pisses me off when companies and dealerships ignore stuff like this. It's OBVIOUS their sensors need to be looked at.
It's just an explosion in your lap. Nothing to see here.
The plastic gas tank in my 1992 Range Rover classic wasn't under recall but the exact same tank in the 1993 Rover was recalled. Go figure.
1st time I dropped off a ledge on the back side of barbour fork , and felt lucky the bags didn't blow,
Next day put a electrical conectionn under the seat sensor.
When I hit the trail unclip the SRS and pull the ABS fuse.

With the Tickata air bag recall i haven't hooked it back up.
The ABS thing is just a preference.
