Hey guys here's my
First off - freaking Moab!
Secondly - If you guys know what trails tend to get popular/crowded I'd just say let's do those first thing Friday morning.
Finally - freaking Moab!
It looks like I will be arriving in Moab pretty late on Thurs night - probably after 9pm. Do we want to have a time and place to meet on Fri morning. Lions Park is pretty typical (not to mention its right across the street from where i am camping) - although if others are more south in town and we are headed in that direction (say towards Sand Flats Rec Area) then meeting elsewhere might be better. Not sure how early works - but looks like sunrise is around 7:30am. Meet at 9am? Do we have a trail for day 1?

What do you want to do for trails from the list tossed up so far? I'm wide open (read: I'd be happy tagging along to anything so consider any group recommendation a "SOUND'S GREAT TO ME" position).
I've been looking at Moab area geospatialized maps and am not seeing much. What're folks looking at for maps? I do have the FunTreks Moab book + some electronic maps for Avenza.
The paper maps James brought (or bought?) last year were great for navigating between trails. I intend to pick some up from a local store when I visit Moab this year.
James which motor vehicle maps did you prefer? I recall you said certain maps were superior for hiking, and others for driving, due to detail / scale of the maps.
I use the Lattitude 40 maps (there is an east and a west I believe). They are 1:75,000 so work well for driving.

I prefer a bit more zoomed in for hiking and often use the Trails Illustrated maps foot and bike travel.

Hells Revenge, Poison Spyder, ToTW would be top of my list....sevenmile rim would also be interesting for a slightly easier choice.
