    Default Newbie to CO

Hey y’all! I’m really looking forward to hitting the trails with some of y’all and learning more about wheeling.

For introductions: I moved to CO about 4 months ago after spending the last 8 years in Texas. I’m a 30-something female, so you’ll usually see my out on the trails with a friend or my pup riding shotgun. Drive a black 5th Gen 4Runner Trail with a 3” lift, skids, and sliders - next upgrade is hopefully a winch, but that’s down the road for sure.

I’m new to the whole off-road thing (as we don’t have trails in a Texas like y’all do here!) by am having a blast so far. I like to have fun but don’t push it too hard, as my vehicle is also my daily driver - so want to be sure I’ll make it to work the following day . Looking forward to attending some runs and seeing y’all soon!

    - Kelsey

    Welcome aboard Kelsey!

Coming from the sun-belt, you picked a good time to move here. Do you have any experience driving in snow and ice?

Welcome. Next Sat. run is not very difficult as long as shelf roads don’t intimidate you. Worst thing besides that is a few very tight hairpins that require two swipes. You are welcome to join if you would like. If too difficult then Jim’s Rollins Pass West later in the month would be a no brainer. Beautiful, scenic, historic, and easy.

Oh man, I'd love to but I think I'm gonna run Devil's Canyon with another group. If that falls through, I'll def be in for Argentine. I'll be down in Ouray the following weekend with the BF in case anyone is headed there.

It's been a while (other than coming up to CO and UT for ski trips) but I used to live in PA so got a decent amount of snow driving there in the winter. The mountains here are much more intimidating though so I need to brush up this winter -- and I haven't ever offroaded in the snow..... intentionally....
