    Default Miller Rock on Saturday

I have yet to do Miller rock since they opened up the trail after the main creek crossing. Since Iím heading out of town next week for a few weeks, I want to get full run of Miller Rock trails. My son has to work so itís going to be me going solo unless anyone cares to join me. I know this area very well so Iím comfortable going alone but would love to have some company if at all possible.

Taco Chris, youíre ready for this now!

    Its close to Lyons/Longmont/Loveland.....

Let me know if you wanna join!

Really - it's open?! Is there a different exit now?

Yes, Trailridge Runners did some work and it is now open! I did this myself yesterday and took the picture of the main section that got worked on (very obvious). The trail continues climbing back up the other side, with a few fun rocky obstacles but nothing too hard. Once you get up from the gorge the trail eases off and becomes an easy forest road that leads up to a bunch of old abandoned cabins. The views are very nice of the entire Indian Praks and continental divide and there are some great spots to stop for a picnic or camp. I didnít take every spur I saw but I did explore most and eventually you hit No Trespassing signs and the road is fenced off.

I said it before and Ill say it again, this is one of the best trails in the front range in my opinion!!

So is that how the trail looks after the creek crossing/campground? If so, they really opened it up a lot.

Thatís an awesome before and after! There are a few more challenging sections after this that make this a great new addition to an already awesome trail system.
