    Default Kingston Peak

Tom & I ran Kinston Peak on Saturday. Didn't take any pics, but it was a fun route with some great views! Definitely a must-do route and really easy to get to. It's pretty easy for the most part, with some rocky sections but nothing hard and doable with most stock 4x4's.

Kingston is a through trail if I recall. Did you tie in other trails to make a loop back or just hit anything else?

Beautiful trail. Take time to hike to one of the lakes if you can. Loch lamond is the one near the summit house?

Came back up Cumberland Gulch and then took the Yankee hill road back to Apex road. Took that back out to the top of Mammoth Gulch and took that back to Rollins pass road where we started. Tom let the way back and good too, I would have gotten lost

Nice to make a loop with Cumberland gulch to Yankee and Mammoth. Can also loop through using the upper part of Sheridan hill or Miners Gulch - all good options to extend the run.

From what little I know that sounds understandable. There seem to be a lot of interconnecting roads up there.

Check out the video Paul made from our run up the trail last year. Not a challenging trail, but beautiful. We went a bit late in the season and it was a bit cold and windy at the top. Hoping for a bit better weather this time (next weekend) and a chance to hike a little.
