Default Sat July 14 and Sun July 15

Saturday my dad is in town for a while, so I'm going to run Switzerland or something else easy and scenic around the Boulder / Ned / Blackhawk area. I'm not quite sure when we'll get started, since I have to pick him up from DIA before we can head up to the mountains. We'll be out for a few hours and get a picnic lunch. Probably will end up running this alone, but if anyone else is OK with a really loose scheduled start time and wants to tag along, post up and we'll see what we can work out.

Sunday, I intend to head up towards Gross Reservoir with our kayaks. Hopefully explore the trails a little bit, get some time on the water, and have a nice lunch. Won't be much of a wheeling outing, but some of you are into chill days up in the mountains too (Taco Chris?).

We're camping up near Blackhawk that weekend and might be able to join you on Sat. Something easy would be good; I'm a relative novice in a stock JKU and will have three 4-7 year old boys with me (I'd planned on taking them out for some easy top/doorless driving anyway).

slight maybe for Sat (20%). I'd be flexible as to time / trail. I've been out the past few and will be out the next few Sat's so staying home is on my radar right now - but maybe...

I think we're going to plan to start at the north end of Switzerland (sawmill road) between 11:00 and 11:30. Hard to say exactly when since it is dependent on flights arriving on time and getting back from DIA quickly. I don't think we can make it up there much before 11:00. If either of you wants to meet up there, send me a cell phone number and I can give you a call when we depart from Broomfield, at which point I'll have a good idea of when we'll make it to the trail head.

Hey Trent, I wish I could join you I’m stuck working on Saturday and then trying to get this cb installed on Sunday. Looking forward to the 28th though.

I'm planning to stay home and put up some stuff to sell here and on C/L and eBay. Stuff long on my mind to clear out. It'll be good for the soul. If you end up alone and wish another, give a PM.

Thanks for the offer Jim. Looks like you made good progress on cleaning out your Jeep stuff piles, or at least in listing the sale items.

We ran northern Switzerland trail down to Pennsylvania gulch. Dad wanted to see what a moderate trail looks like, so we ran up Pennsylvania gulch instead of southern Switzerland Trail. Beautiful day in the mountains and got to show my dad several parts of Colorado he's never seen before. Ended the day by running up to Caribou to see the ghost town. Rainbow lakes and Caribou flats trail gates are both open. I haven't run either of these ever, so need to plan a trip up there this summer sometime again.
