As those of you that know me will recall I sold my 4Runner. I didn’t make it very long before finding a replacement. When a guy finds a great truck he doesn’t wander too far so I picked up a slightly newer one.

Oops, I wasn’t done. This will easily conquer even the highest point in my new location. That means it will climb all 340 feet of Britton Hill! Yeah, it’s 2wd.
I guess it’s safe to say this won’t be a Colorado truck in this lifetime.
Looking forward to the write-up of the Anniversary Run and wish I was there to join it. Y’all have a great time!

2WD! Love it!! It's pretty; very cool that you got one, and a newer one, too! Enjoy!
Congrats!
Hmmm - does it have actively cooled seats?
Stirr'n-the-pot: Where's the nearest class 1 or 2 mud track?
Cooled seats? LOL! No but my A/C works! Funny to see ads for used cars that say things like 2008 Chevy Impala, a/c recharged and blowing cold - $3000. ThatÂ’s the full ad. Does it run? How many miles? Co dition? Who cares, the a/c works!
I guess we’re accilmating, today’s 82° with humidity at 60% and it feels a bit chilly! We haven’t needed a/c inside more than a couple times so far and that was to avoid breathing smoke from fires in the Everglades. Yes, I know what’s coming as summer moves in but have met enough people who get a kick out of the horror stories and joke about the wimpy snow birds that flee the cold and come down then head home when the heat comes.
As far as mudding goes, no thanks. IÂ’ve never liked mud and that wonÂ’t change being here, my 2wd is fine for my needs now. I did a quick look Jim but all I found were in northern FL, panhandle area, close to Alambama. ThatÂ’s at least a 6 hour drive. If I find something close IÂ’ll go to watch but thatÂ’d be as close as I get.
I'm with ya on mud - don't care for the cleanup (but flinging it high and far can put a grin on my face). As for mud pits / racing - the pictures you posted - that was of a place close to you, no?
Nice ride.
It funny how we stick with one type of ride c and stay with it.

How long ago was it that you lived down here James? You might have mentioned it before but I can’t recall.
Born and raised in FL - early years were in Tampa/St Pete and middle and high school years north in McIntosh (if you can find it on a map - near Orange Lake and my experience with air boats) and eventually Gainesville. My fathers side of the family were all New Yorkers that had moved to south FL (Pompano, Ft Lauderdale) so that was a common place to go as well. I left FL in 96 to go to Colorado for college - only go back to visit friends and family since. My parents moved from Gainesville to Morrison, CO about 6 years ago so I rarely go back nowadays. I still have some good friends in Gainesville, St Augustine and Orlando area but tend to meet them places other than FL.

So you’ve been gone 20+ years, I was curious. Doesn’t sound like you’re real fond of the state which I can understand. It sure doesn’t stand up real well to Colorado but few places do. Fortunately it’s working out perfect for me.
