    `twas a good day exploring.

    - Porsche Cayenne on the trail
    - Creek crossing at the main spur
    - Then to see how far we might get past the creek crossing (300 yards)
    - A nice lunch break with a view
    - Check out some dead end spurs (there are some reasonable camp sites on little used trails...)
    - Check out the second creek area
    - A scurry atop Miller Rock for a 360 view
    - A nice vista from the Glacier View Ranch
    - No rain drops (though some questionable clouds to the west)

I did turn on my wipers (not that they do anything) for a few minutes on our way home right after hitting pavement and heading toward Nederland.

Glad I found you guys for the second half of the day! Here’s a couple videos of Jim and Dieseldoc ascending and descending the far end of Miller Rock spur 523c. Beautiful area with awesome creekside camp areas

    We had a great day.
Good to see old faces and meet new ones.
Seems my tag along for the day hooked up with some other folks when he was in Lyons....not Shure where he ended up!

But this was a great day. Just enough challenge btobkeep me on my toes. But not so tough to wear a guy out.
    Great veiws and good friends.
The optional was a good time. James took the hook. Don't blame him it's a steep spot and short wheel base...
Jeff did well with his minvan engine and a clutch.
Jeff's son has a nice Toyota truggy. Good to see a rig like that...

We didnt real get many pics....I only got some of Jim. Will post them this evening once on my computer.

    What an awesome time.
I want to thank all of you, Jim, James and Jen, Brandon and Therese,Matt and my brother Steve and my Son Kory for sharing your knowledge of the trail with me. Your patience helping me get through the difficult sections is very much appreciated.
And yes Brandon, the clutch did a great job getting the minivan motor up and over.

    Beautiful view from the Rock.

My brother Steve (SOS1999TJ) had a great time and will have his rig ready to go out soon. Thanks for coming along Bro.

Thank you for welcoming my Son Kory to the group. I loved his bumper sticker, "Don't Follow Me, You Won't Make It".

I'll wheel with anyone of you, anytime. Glad to have made some new friends.

Here's a few pics, i have videos, but haven't figured out how to upload them yet. I'll work on it. Not sure why some of them turned sideways?

100 yards beyond the creek crossing is this obstacle. Enough tippy and slippery for all of us to say no thanks - though there is a bit of trail beyond we'd like to visit.

Awesome pix and videos, great time with you all this weekend!

Jim, Tom told me today that they will be doing some trail work to make the trail continue after the creek crossing! I think some time in June!

Great photos, looks like a blast! Love that 'Yota. Lots of "waving" and so cool to have it captured in pix.

And a few of my old cj - after looking at the pics of my wheelstand compared to other, I just chickened out. If I would have just pushed it a bit further it would have come down forward and probably crawled up the rest. I think working further left at the entrance would have helped as well. I would have like a bit more time to play with finding a route up, but with crowds and all, nothing wrong with running a quick winch pull.
