Really fun run today, Ironclads was fun straight through. Nice to see some people again and to meet some new ones, thank you to everyone who came out today. I'll post up more soon, just wanted to get it started.

Beautiful day on the trail. It's amazing how 9 months of wheeling can change your experience on the trail. Ironclads was the first trail we ran after buying the Jeep last summer. It was much more intimidating last time than this time!

This was a really fun but rocky trail. Did it in my stock xterra as one of my first legit tails(definitely my first group run). I made it all the way through with some patience from the group. I'll definitely be doing this one again, it felt like a really good practice trail for me. Thank you to everyone in this group for being friendly and supportive. As a newbie, it means a lot and makes me less anxious to come out to the group trail runs in the future. 😊

Nice wave at the beginning of Paul's video, Matt! Are those cow and goat noises in the background?

Looks like a super fun day!!

I envision some youtube viewer picking out the trail with the anticipation of seeing grazing animals and coming away scratching their head.

Yes! It was an accident... I am trying not to use music anymore in the background, and I added a "dead cat" to my camera just before this run to cut wind noise, and was surprised how empty the audio is without it. There are no animals or birds there with all the shooting and vehicles, no sounds except people. I was adding backgrounds and instead of clicking on "Four Wheeling Nature Mix - Quiet" I clicked on "Farm Animals - Raw". I didnt realize it until I was viewing a draft, and it made me laugh so I left it. Those are goats, sheep, crows and songbirds, and ofcourse a submarine. I've added sounds before but noone has noticed, not even all the crickets above treeline in the morning on Kingston Peak.

Ok, had some time tonight to get this video edited! i definitely want to include more staged shots like Paul did for next time. In car footage is pretty boring. Does anyone have suggestions on camera angles outside the car that provide better framing as well as capture the cars around?

Tripod! Don't overthink it, just point it at something interesting and walk away.

On my Jeep and my wife's Xterra I have a Garmin mount outside on the windshield at the top / center. On the back a Gopro on the 3rd eye light. They get these shots, FWIW:
