    Default Miller Rock 5/8/18

Another perfect day to wheel at Miller Rock, and I got to wheel with two of the baddest Jeeps around! Chris, Heather and I headed up and went right to the main obstacles to see if they were dry and sure enough it was dry!! So we heads down the off camber tippy upper section and the large and steep V-slot main obstacle. Here’s some videos of Chris and Heather:

Then we headed down down and crossed the creek (still frozen over) and turned around at the camp spot. Then we headed up the main obstacles - the most fun part!!

Lots of fun and no issues - it was drier than it was last time I did this.... Once again this trail is one of my faves, with some great fun challenges but short enough to do It in just a few hours. It was pretty muddy in the upper road and exited thru the ranch!

Thanks for coming out Northridge 4x4!!!!

This video of Heather descending the main obstacle would be great if my phone didn’t get confused and record sideways....

There was some snow near the ranch exit, but none on the obstacles.

Heres another video that that would be great if my phone didn’t record it sideways

It was a super fun day! (The day started out pretty well, seeing a RHD Skyline R32 on 36 on the way into Boulder. He gave Chris a thumbs up. Then, in Lyons, an R35.)

So glad we connected with Matt; Chris thought no one was waiting for anyone, and our CBs aren't installed yet. When we stopped, I was like, "Hey! We're on the trail! We're supposed to meet first!" We were going to wait until 11:30. Then....we heard something big coming up the narrow entrance part of the trail, and the front end was like Matt's (same color and everything) Jeep...but it sounded way meaner. And then I saw it was an LJ. And then the driver confirmed it was an LS. We let him by, I wiped the drool off my chin...and a couple minutes later, there Matt was! It was really great that the trail was nearly completely dry (in all the spots that normally are, anyway).

We met two young guys in pretty built JKUs, and talked with them for a bit, after we got to Miller Rock. They were really nice, and followed us out. All-in-all, a great day, and I'm glad we went! Thanks for putting it together, Matt! So nice to see you again!

The first pic is of us airing down (so exciting)
Second is the three rigs at the top of the spur
Third is - look how nifty and dry the trail is!
Fourth is Matt coming down the top part of the spur
Fifth is another of Matt on the spur
    Sixth is Chris on spur
Seventh is me on the spur
Eighth is that JL LS after the creek crossing after the spur
Ninth is the creek - you can see a little water coming out from under the ice to the right
Tenth is Chris coming up the spur
Matt coming up the spur: https://youtu.be/KbFD39z4LFw (ugh, I don't remember how to embed anything any more...)

More pix in the next post...

Doink, with it being so far from you, it would he great to combine it with (if I remember correctly) Ironclads and T-33A - that would be a long, fun day!

Spieg, nope; must just be a smudge or the angle of the photo. He's all sparkly(ish) clean today, no bends or flat spots.

Paul, hope to see you on the trail again soon!

Doink, anytime you wanna come up I’ll run it! It’s 10 minutes from my house! I ran Ironclads tonight for sunset, did a Little Rock crawling too ... love living up here
