Default Saturday wheelin’ - Pickle Gulch or Yankee Hill

My son wants to go wheelin on Saturday and I was thinking Pickle Gulch or Yankee Hill. Anyone else wanna get out on Saturday? It might snow over the next couple days and did last night but it’s wet and I don’t think it’ll be enough to make these routes impassible.

Posted on the calendar for Yankee Hill run Saturday, with meetup st the OHV parking area that’s on the beginning of the trail west of Central city. CB channel 4, in case you get lost!

This should be a pretty easy trail for the most part - so no worries swine, you shouldn’t break anything! Look forward to seeing you Phil!

I'm not familiar with the OHV parking area. I'm hoping to have my CB installed by the end of today so I'll tune in to channel 4 when I get close. Is there a better way to explain how to get there? Could I get one of yalls cell # jsut in case I need to call.

These will get you close. Get to Central City either through Blackhawk or across the parkway. Take the main road West out of town.

Heres a map of the area.... the OHV parking area is before the turnoff to Columbine Campground... if I recall you stay left when the road to the right goes to the campground.

I'm not into breaking anything or having a winch fest this early in the season, just want to get out.

When you get to the top of the hill you'll find all the cemetaries. Apex goes off to the right, stay left, Columbine campground rd is the very next road ..
Do not stay left there go straight back on Columbine campground rd you'll spot a sign indicating ohv parking lot .05 clicks . It will come up on the right just a bit after the three way intersection. I should be in the area by around 10:45ish and I'll be on ch 4
