Default Spring Break wheelin & campin trip

My son who goes to CU wants to go to Moab for a few days during his spring break, which is the last week in March (26-30). Either will take the Jeeps or the Ram and my Rubicon, depending on logistics.

Anyone interested in joining us for some Moab fun? I really wanna do Lockhart Basin but am open to routes also! We could camp or hotel it..... Thinking of spending 3-4 days there (2-3 nights).....

Can't go that weekend, but want to get back sometime this year. Be aware that Jeep Easter Safari starts on March 24. Hotels may be hard to come by for that weekend.

Unfortunately I can't go that weekend, either. FWIW, EJS is March 24 - April 1. If your goal of going later is to avoid the EJS crowd, you'll need to wait another week.

That’s ok, Moab is huge and those Jeeps will all hang together so I’m just going to avoid them

I don’t like wheelin in huge groups like that! If it’s just me and my son that’s cool too, but would love to have a few others join us if possible!

By by the way Trent, I did remove that transfer case drop spacer but I had to also replace rear driveshaft and rear upper control arms to make it work without driveline vibrations (unlike you and your LJ that is more forgiving). I literally just changed the t-case oil this morning (easy but messy) and I’m chasing an exhaust rattle that I believe to be cat guts (notice power is down which I suspect could be the cat guts clogging my exhaust downstream..... planning on taking out the exhaust one of these weekends to unclog if possible!

I wish I could join you, Moab is my very next bucket list place to wheel. Just can't make it happen this month. Have a good one!

EJS is the most crowded week of the whole year and hotel are pricy if not sold out. although it is a spectacle and fun to watch. I was there for 2 days one year but that was before I was into wheeling.
I am headed to St George if you have any interest ?

My spring break is that same week. We were going to go, but waited too long to find a place and don't want to spend $150+/night for a room and my wife refuses to camp (wimp!) so I am forced to find something else to do. Looks like the weather is going to be great around here though...

My son broke his arm so I’m on my own.... and most likely joining Chris in St. George to explore the trails instead!

Tj- sand hallow and the rest of the trails around saint George are all amazing.
The number of 7+ with in a 10 mile radius is huge as well.
Saint George makes Moab look like the kiddy part in Disney Land.

Telling you all saint George is far better.
As well I have locals there still to take folks out to all the good Trails.

Can’t wait to wheel Sand Hollow in a few weeks! Going to spend at least 3 full days wheelin, and I’m probably going to trailer the Rubicon since it’s a haul.
