    Default New year's day wheeling????

Ok so I am done in Aspen......
With the holidays here I am sure the weekends are full for most of us.

As I try to keep tradition......New year's day has always been a day to wheel.
So who wants to and where???
It would be nice to see every one as I have been stuck on the west slope for 4 month!

A lot of trails start their seasonal closures that day. Gulches open all year?

Gultches open all year. There is a new one to play on now.
Preditor it's actually the 2nd half of Hackett.....but the lower portion has grown over.
    So it's now 2 trails.

Actually supposed to close at the Park county line. Teller county adopted the roads knowing that they bring money to the area. I think Predator 4x4 or Trails Off-road reiterates this.

Preditor off-road has adopted these trails and does a lot of work to keep them open.
Ok so I will post on the callender.

Might go but just a FYI, If preditor is the trail that connects to hackett, I rode it once on my ATV and it barely fit through the trail. Was up in the area last weekend and as usual, about 1/4 mile down Metberry on the first long steep hill is a 100 yard solid sheet of ice at the bottom. I think the ice is doable but I was by my self and didn't want to risk it or pull rope. Might have a new toy to go with ! Also, as of last weekend there was VERY little snow up there and quite nice temps, in fact it was about 20 degrees warmer than Denver up there.

Yeah I'm coming from the Springs so easier for me to meet at a trailhead.

I have the gps coords for the Hackett trailhead 39.0597259, -105.2879689 but not for the Predator 4wd trail.

    edit: Here's the GPS coords for the Predator trailhead: 39° 4' 9.45"N -105° 17' 12.98"W

    You guys coming down 67?

That's about 2 hours to the Predator trailhead, I will plan on being there before 11.

For sure. When I ran it on my ATV it seemed impossible for a rig to go up/down. But ran it yesterday and a LOT wider than it used to be. And 0 snow. There is one stretch of ice on the trail, about 50 feet. Just get some speed and had no issues.
