Maybe later this afternoon I can get out for a couple hours for something short like Bunce School/Ironclads or Rock Creek. Watching the Packers now

Hey Jim,
Ya, no not ever been also never heard of Taylor mtn
Thanks for calling me bright, some people wouldn't
LOL
Sounds like I got alot to learn
I've spent most of my time near Idaho Springs, Central City and Nederland areas
And even with that I was taken on a trail in that for mentioned areas that I never heard of,
penn gulch and Switzerland trail.
So, by no means do I know very many trails....see, not so bright .. LOL !!!!!
Bunce School Road... The northern ?1/2? is un-gated / open all year. Ironclads is accessed via the northern end of Bunce and too is open all year. Rock Creek I believe is open all year (thus is often a snow bashing trail).
From the southern end of Bunce - which is winter time gated - is where access to Park Creek and T-33a are. Park Creek isn't much on the list (IMO) but many enjoy seeing the T-33a plane wreckage at the end of... T33a trail. This trail should be doable for you though - Matt / RMrebel from his pickup days should have valued comment for you.
Brite Trail / Taylor Mountain, the main trail is easy (logging truck accessible) though I think it has a gate and thus likely gets closed in the winter. This trail, while easy but short, has a nice view to the northwest (with decent camping). It also has one dead end spur ?3/4 mile? that is TIGHT (even for me) though is rather uneventful.

Great info !!!
Sounds like a couple places I'd like to go !!!
Even mellow / uneventful is good from time to time !!!!!
I will save this info and hope to run them trails sometime
I was informed that T-33 was " Way more technical" than Coney flats
Looking at the pictures, it seems TOTALLY doable for the Elephant
That statement and others that are similar make me wonder.
I am interested in trying some of the trails you informed me about
I am thinking .... of coarse starting easy since I don't know them and most likely by just me, but this week
I will check in and check out on forum also post some pictures when I do go
So that everyone will know the Elephant and I are safe
Got me all fired up, maybe at the wrong time of the year but hey, still waiting to see any real snow anyway right...? LOL

Tom,
Ok, but next season should be good
The other trails Jim mentioned should fun solo though ??
Do you carry on a regular m-f work schedule?
I am retired so I am able to go anytime during the week
T33 is definitely much more challenging than Coney. It's where I did my body damage, rocker dented on rocky section and rear panel dented by trees in a tight squeeze ;-/
