Had a blast today. Met lots of new people. I am amazed that there was no snow of any kind on the trail. Bit windy though. No pics from me so someone else will need to post em.

I only got a few pictures
Got lots of dash cam video but need to resize the files to post or ??
I also found my old car, forgot where I parked it years ago
Hope there will be more pictures !!!!
I also had a big-o kick in the pants, such a nice trail !!!
Wash out on the other trail was a lil pucker time but looked like we all pulled through
Red-7 had to turn around, mechanical issues
But we lost one and gained one all at the same time.
A Toyota Tundra joined in for the last little bit of technical rock areas !!! It was great to have met her too
Along with everyone that I have and haven't wheeled with before, great to meet ya !!!! Great to see ya !!!!!!!
Lets all meet again soon !!

Haven't heard from him since the run, but red7 was losing fuel from his filler neck on steep inclines. Also had problems with carb float and stalled on the first hill. Seemed to have a good time. Hope he made it home ok.
Haven't heard yet either, just sent them a pm, so hopefully hear something soon

I'm quite surprised at the no snow comment!
Great news everyone !!!!!!!!!!
Just read a pm from Red 7, they were able to make it home fine yesterday
They will be working on curing the problems and look forward to getting out with us again once the sweet old jeep is healthy again
Same here - looks like they are trying to troubleshoot some carb issues.

Hey Folks!
Like to throw a shout out to Philip and the Elephant for keeping an eye on us out there and helping us with the gas cap issue. Brand new cap but the little wings on the inside that grab the fill tube flange were to narrow to grab correctly. Some persuasion with Philip's vise grips widened the span just enough to get the cap to seal down. That should improve the MPG a bit.
Will try lowering the float level on the carb a bit to see if that will give us a few more degrees of flood-free incline.
Transfer case popped out of 4-low a few times when under heavy load. That's when we decided we better not continue up Pennsylvania. Was making some racket too that went away once we switched back to 2-high. Maybe we'll be lucky and find the noise was just the front shaft u-joint going out. The popping out of gear issue I'm sure will be a bigger issue. Also, I have to come to a complete stop to shift into 1st gear (it was like that when I bought it) so I know the tranny at least needs a new syncro ring. Probably more once we get into it.
I may need to bribe FINOCJ with a case or two of beverages of his choosing to help go through the trans and TC.
While we're at it, we could use a lower low gear to crawl up those steep rocky inclines too. I would think the 4.27 axle gears would be enough but it's still a little too quick for careful crawling. Maybe I should just accept the fact that the CJ will have limits. :(
Everyone was great and we had a great time! We now have an idea of what we need to make the CJ run with the big dogs.
Thanks everyone! Hope to see you out there soon!
Glad you guys got home OK. That'll be a pretty fun jeep once you get all the details worked out.
Also, thanks everyone for the run. Enjoyed the trails. Pennsylvania Gulch was the first trail I've run where body damage seemed a real possibility. I was amazed how easily our Jeep was able to crawl up some of the obstacles.

The few trails I've been on with my Runner have had some challenging sections but those were short. Yesterday was great for the nice long rock gardens and inclines!! Thanks for letting me tag along!!
I had a great time also, great meeting everyone that I didn't meet before!
I'll attache some pictures when I get a chance, that's the hardest part since I have to reduce image sizes on all pictures......

It's easier for me to make videos than compress pictures so here's the first - kind of a group shot with a couple rigs climbing up Pennsylvania Gulch. First is Pete and then open circuit!
