China Wall 11/24
We could not have asked for a nicer day to be out on the trail!
The weather was as perfect as one could ask for considering it was late November. The temperature was roughly 50, so much sun that many pictures were washed out. The little wind made it feel cool in a few spots, but again, late November! Once in the trees by the creek, the wind seemed nonexistent so it was a great place to BS and eat a bit of lunch.
Big Wall (Joe and his wife Rosa), goSlo (Aaron), Aaron's brother-in-law (I believe Ralph) and his K9 companion, along with me, my wife and daughter met up and were started on the trail by 10:15. The many lines available on this trail make it fun for all. Thanks to Joe for spotting a few of us on a couple of the obstacles and for his humor at the one obstacle (enough said); that is the type of camaraderie that makes this so much fun. This was my first time to meet any of these folks, and has been my experience with this forum group, a great bunch of folks once again.
Ran into a group of 16 Toys, mainly FJ's, on the way out and there was one single Land Cruiser down by the creek enjoying a picnic, but that was it for the crowds. A great day altogether and look forward to hitting the trails with this group again.
