Moab's Negro Bill Canyon Renamed




After years of discussion, the U.S. Board on Geographic Names voted on Oct. 12, 2017, to rename Moab's Negro Bill Canyon to Grandstaff Canyon. William Grandstaff grazed cattle and prospected in the canyon during the 1870s.
