Fourmile 11/4/17

Great run yesterday, really nice to see Trent and his daughter and David again, and to meet Brian and his dad. Brian had temp tags on his brand new 2018 4Runner TRD (beautiful rig!) and did really well, just one little bit of spotting on 376. We did about 5 hours of trails- 311, 309, 376, 376B, 375, 375A, 375C, 373, and back out on 311 to 309 again up to Salt Creek. 373 has some rocks and a short shelf, otherwise it's all rollercoaster whoopdees and hill climbs / descents. It was snowing for the last hour or so, fortunately Salt Creek is easy dirt roads with big signage, so no problems at all. Thanks to everyone who came out!!

I didn't get many pics, here's the beginning, middle and end! but I do have 107GB of video between my cameras to go through- I maxed out a 64gb card in my garmin alone. Hopefully some of it will be good...

Thanks again for being the guide Paul. Was my first time offroad and had a lot of fun. I meant to ask, what magnetic mount / antenna do you use for the CB?

Mostly took some landscape photos but here are two car pics.

The magnetic base on my antenna scratches the paint, and the couple of times a tree has knocked it off it has extra-scratched the paint. My Jeep is an 11 year old trail rig, I would not recommend the same thing for your beautiful new 4Runner. They make all sorts of hard mounts, and a lot of guys go with handheld units with integral antennas- you're really just talking to people you can see, so reception is usually not an issue.
