Looks like you mounted it with a jack? I have never mounted a car tire myself, so I don't think I understand how you set the bead on the rim that way.

the jack breaks the old bead to get the old spare off the rim. This is how I mounted the other one:

Balance is the only issue with doing them at home.
You can use balast there are a few write ups out there.
