    Default Pretty Much Saying Goodbye

Hey everyone, just a quick note to say goodbye. It’s been a pleasure watching this group grow and being part of it since 2008 but all good things come to an end. I believe I got out once with Front Range folks this season and twice with family which is pretty much not wheeling at all. I’m not a fan of web-wheeling so I’m moving on with my life. I’m keeping my truck but will lean more towards using it to haul our travel trailer around and visit areas of interest which we’ve been doing the last few years already. Mild trails will still be driven but I’ll be avoiding much more than that as I make lifestyle changes that should be beneficial. I don’t care to delve into my health issues but I don’t want to give false impressions either. Briefly, I have COPD & OSA and a PE in my past which, when added to a lifetime of asthma, makes for pulmonary difficulties. I’m not dying or anything but I hope to see my grandkids grow to adulthood so I’ll see you all down the road.

Though we haven’t met, I wish you the best in all of your future endeavors. I have always enjoyed seeing “Member: #1” on your posts. It speaks highly of you, the forum you started, and the folks that have followed.

    Hello Chris,

I'm sorry to hear you won't be hanging around as a routine and wish you the best with your decision.

I've enjoyed our travels together - and vividly recall perhaps our first meeting where Xaza / Cliff hauled me off of Ironclads and Barb leaned out of her window to say "Don't worry, we'll make sure you get home" - words that melted away the issues of a dead fuel pump far from home.

Just know we'll be here should you wish to poke your head in again. Should we be able to help in any task that might pop up, give a holler.

Thanks for getting the wheels rolling on this place. Many appreciate the family formed.

    Warm Regards,
    Jim

    Hello Chris,

Thanks for all you have done over the years for the Wheeling community! While I too have had life interrupt my Wheeling habits, I still web wheel here, thanks to you. I really appreciate that this club takes care of 2 of my local trails, that I have hated to miss the last few years. It s been more than a pleasure to have known and wheeled with you, heck and your kiddo too. May the rest of your days be nothing but pleasant! Have fun trailering about, I know that brings us joy when we can go. Please take care, and thanks again!!

It is sad to see you go, we wish you the best in your future endeavors and health. I, like Jim, have a very vivid memory of a time out in the hills with you. I will remember the rescue on Yankee Hill forever, it was quite a night. Make sure Brandon gives us some updates on you occasionally or at least pop in and say hello. You have my number if you need anything.

Thank you for everything, Chris. This was the absolute best place to begin wheeling, and beyond (it's so exciting to welcome new members, because this truly is the BEST place to start!). I'm so thankful to have had my start with you guys, and so thankful that it's still here today. Major warm fuzzies. Are you going to keep a blog or anything? Best wishes for many more years of good enough health and tons of enjoyment with your family and friends. ((((hugs))))
