Everybody backed out on me for holy cross but TJ and I went to chinamens/carnage. we both pulled in friday afternoon. When i arrived TJ was already there and setup so i got camp setup pretty quickly as it was windy and spitting snow at times. we than hopped in my rig and ran carnage up to the waterfall and back. Built a fire and called it a day. Saturday morning it was again going to be just us in our group so we got on the trail around 9:30-10. We started at chinamens gultch. it was pretty uneventful. played around on the rock pile and took a couple of poser pics then moved on down the trail. passed a small group before the stairs and chatted with them a bit. Somewhere along the trail tj bent a tie rod end so he being fairly easy on his rig. we made it back to the parking area pretty early so decided to take tj's dogs for a walk up carnage and look for the d-ring pin that i lost friday. found the pin. walked back to camp and as we arrived a family in a 4 seat buggy on 43" stickies pulled up, we chatted with them and decided we'd run carnage with them in my rig. we got to the waterfall quickly and i proceeded to one shot the waterfall and then had a little troule between it and the v-notch but eventually got there. once in the v-notch i was a little too high on the drivers side and too far left with the rear and ended up taking a short nap on the passenger side. winched myself back over and was able to drive out. then Gabe was up next in a 126" wheelbase 4 seater. He had a little trouble getting the rear where we wanted it so he ended up going up the waterfall on the right side. it took a few attempts on the throttle but he made it. then he was far to the right and again being so long was having trouble getting far enough to the left on the notch for the rear to stay up on the wall. he eventually just hammered down and bounced up it. rest of the trail went smoothly with no real delays other than a few attempts at different spots for each of us. then we got to the exit. i was up first, i had heard that the exit changed alot a couple months ago and it was alot harder. it looked exactly the same to me and we made it the first attempt as well. then it was Gabes turn. he used the same line that i used and he had no trouble either. we boggied back to camp and that was it. i was originally just going to go to holy cross anyways and just join whatever group i could find. but i wzs tired and i needed to get some stuff done at home before the storm set in so both tj and I packed up sunday morning and hit the road. Gabe had a group of 5-6 buggies coming from montrose that morning to run carnage. i'll try to get some video up at some point but having trouble with the gopro app and i have no pictures. Hopefully TJ will post some pics
