Going to Moab in a few weeks ans was wondering what trails have the best arch formations and pictographs ? Last time there the focus was more on hard 4wing, this time want to see the views with some easy wheeling.

Elephant Hill is possibly the most beautiful place there. Long Canyon and Picture Frame Arch are easy and beautiful too.

Don't forget the Dinosaur footprints.. There are a number of spots that have them, the beginning of Poison Spider has some neat ones. There is some construction going on so be aware some trails have closed sections. Mussel Man arch is cool and on a nice trail with great views, white rim trail I think.

Be sure to drive the Schafer Trail! Dumps you off at Island of the Sky! Easy trail with beautiful views and fun switch-backs at the end!

If you take Castle Valley road east towards Gateway, CO there is a scenic overlook that has a bunch of dinosaur prints, super cool
or better yet go to Moab thru Gateway and about 35-40 miles in you'll get to this overlook with Dino prints. Way cooler way to get to Moab and easy wheelin'

7 Mile Rim has some good views of the rocks above Moab, arches, and the Monitor & Merimac buttes. not terribly technical, but enough to keep it interesting.

Your profile pic shows 2 dogs in your rig. It's important to know that Canyonlands and Arches are NOT dog friendly places. Not sure when they changed the rules, but I got turned back by a Park Ranger at Elephant Hill several years ago...

From their website.
Pets on leash are allowed in developed areas, such as campgrounds, paved roads, and the Potash/Shafer Canyon road between Moab and the Island in the Sky. They are not allowed on hiking trails or in the backcountry
i think all national parks are that way now.
