Phillip, Brian and I had a nice long run from Alice heading north over Kingston Peak and looped back south and eventually around over Yankee Hill to finish the day. Thanks for a great day guys - sorry I took exactly zero photos.
All in all, Kingston seemed about the same as I remember it from a few runs over the years - the toughest spot for height clearance is just above the switchback at the James Peak Lake TH - Phillip's full size F150 took a bit of a hit there. Instead of heading out toward County rd 4N on the north end to Mammoth Gulch/Rollins Pass, we turned right and headed south on 772.1 where the mud-pits on the north side used to be (they have been fenced off and filled in). According to Trails Offroad, this is the northern portion of Sheridan Hill trail. It takes you south and into the Yankee Hill network of trails - overall its about the same difficulty as most Yankee Hill trails (stock vehicle is fine although full-size width has to squeeze a bit. We made it to 175.1 (the main E-W through going road from CC cemeteries to Alice) and turned right again (to the west) and drove up over the last bit of Yankee Hill and down into Alice.
Thanks Again guys - catch up with you again soon.
