Default The death of the 16.5 wheel

Looks like after the big popularity of the hummer 16.5 wheel years ago Tire manufactures are steering more and more away from the 16.5" mold. Having the 16.5" rims myself, what other choices other than swampers and pitbull tires do I have? Or does anyone own a rim expansion tool I can borrow to make my 16.5's to 17's ? Eventually I will have to run 17's, any recommendations for double beadlocks? There are quite a few people here with great advise so thanks in advance.

interco and pitbull are the only 16.5s that i know of. hutchinson(maker of hummer wheels) and stazworks are the only ones that i know of that make that style of double beedlocks. then there is staun and inner air lock that make a tube type double beadlock. i have also seen some wheels with a traditional beadlock on the inner bead but don't know if they are a weld-on or factory made. there was also talk a while back of trailworthy fab having some 17" hummer style double beadlocks but i don't know if that ever came to be.

Found these: http://www.trailworthyfab.com/17-Double-D-s.html but might have to take out a second loan on the house to get em!

Just wash them in hot water and wait for them to shrink to 15"... Tires are a heck of a lot cheaper too. 15" FTW!

Shaun is out of business from what I have heard.

Hutchinson is your best option. Longest production runs, best reviews.
I know folks with them. They love them other than having to pump out mom to pay for them.
