Edelbrock is coming out with a new cylinder head for the Jeep 4.0, looks so purty! Curious how well it works in an OBD1 Jeep that can not adjust tune.

I've been trying to get pricing and an ETA for these....
Still haven't gotten either.
My gut tells me they are going to made out of Unobtainium.....and will be priced accordingly.
I believe a read on a website or another forum they will be priced around $1200. I don't know if that is reasonable or not or if what I got this info from the person was just blowing smoke. I feel as though this would work better with a stroked engine then a near stock 4.0L but then again I don't know a whole lot about engines and modifying them.
The currently available head for the 4.0 (pt#60129) is around $700-750. Edelbrock is supposed to be keeping this head (50169) at a reasonable cost, probably about the same. After it debuts you might see a drop in the other performer head price. They are really answering the call for Jeeps, I bet this will interest some folks on here.

This head is on backorder but as soon as it arrives we will be installing it in Wylie's Jeep. We are bead honing the block and replacing pistons & bearings while waiting. Will update more when we know how it performs.
