I think introducing a second color is a mistake. The brain works off of color-memory association. And it's important to keep it simple. Red=stop. Green=go. Orange=hunter in sights put the gun down. Now, if they changed laws and said either red or blue can mean stop...well I'm not going to learn that instinctively for a while. When people are hunting for that big bull. The only color they've instinctively associated with hunter is orange-thats what they've been taught. All other colors are something else and I don't care cuz it's not orange and hunting season is short and it's freezing out and I see a bull let's get this on. That's how the brain works. Introduce another color, and your trying to teach a lot of old dogs a new trick, and they have guns.

MEH! I remember my first Hunter Safety class, in 1973, with the instructor explaining that the color "Fluorescent Orange" does not occur in nature, and is inherently safer than the traditional red garb. Fast forward to this century and you see "high-vis" safety wear in orange, green, red, whatever! They work because they stand out from their surrounding environment.
