    What motor and gearing?

My 4.2, 4.10, 35's is comfortable with 60/65 on the flats. It'll do 80+ if I push it (on the flats).

An L134 in a flatfender CJ or an F134 in a CJ5 will give you an even lower speed limit! I love my V6 but even it struggles a bit with 33s and 4.88s. Does well to at least keep 60 up the big hills.

I have no issue, my BJ travels over 80 on the highway, it is on the trailer so I'm not sure if that counts or not now if I have to drive it, it is a bit different story, I'm pretty sure that I would not be able to go faster than 30 up on I70 in second gear

Thats funny! The red Toyota, ummm, will never see 55 again and in High range will not go up a mild incline, have to pop her in to low range. The 99 Runner does ok but is no race car by any means, it's all she's got getting up I-70.

Pop a V8 in there and discover the other half of the speedometer.
My Jeep goes 70-75 MPH all the way thru the tunnel (as long as nobody gets in my way... which is rare)

I actually got pulled over and given a warning for going too slow in my stock 1990 4Runner about 10 years ago. I tried to explain to the officer that the 4 cylinder 22re just doesn't go any faster up the mountain pass. He just didn't seem to understand (or maybe didn't believe me).

My Jeep 4.0 / 3.73 / 33s can do 65 on most passes and I've had it up to 92 on I-25. My wife's Xterra 4.0 can do any speed on any hill, I've gotten to experience the left lane in it and it's sweet.
