isn't that the truth
isn't that the truth

LOL - have to agree!
LOL
Want to go for a ride in my 1992 Range Rover Classic with weak compression, a lift, and bigger tires?
Sooooo true LOL
I remember when the speed limit was 55. That's when I should have owned a Jeep!
for some reason I have a hard time heading to the trails, like to over heat, and SLOOOOOOW.
But on my way back o Denver Im able to go above speed limit and no over heating.....have never figured out way
So I wouldn't get a ticket for going 90? I like that!
I have no problem going 80 in my TJ on 37s.
An L134 in a flatfender CJ or an F134 in a CJ5 will give you an even lower speed limit! I love my V6 but even it struggles a bit with 33s and 4.88s. Does well to at least keep 60 up the big hills.

hey...I kinda resemble that!
my 4.0L, 4.10' and 33's I end up in 3rd gear going up floyd hill in the right lane!

I have no issue, my BJ travels over 80 on the highway, it is on the trailer so I'm not sure if that counts or not now if I have to drive it, it is a bit different story, I'm pretty sure that I would not be able to go faster than 30 up on I70 in second gear
Thats funny! The red Toyota, ummm, will never see 55 again and in High range will not go up a mild incline, have to pop her in to low range. The 99 Runner does ok but is no race car by any means, it's all she's got getting up I-70.
I'm work'n to do 40/45 up the two I-70 hills (?Lookout mtn? & Floyd Hill).
No problems on Floyd Hill for me. I always do clear creek canyon.

I actually got pulled over and given a warning for going too slow in my stock 1990 4Runner about 10 years ago. I tried to explain to the officer that the 4 cylinder 22re just doesn't go any faster up the mountain pass. He just didn't seem to understand (or maybe didn't believe me).
My Jeep 4.0 / 3.73 / 33s can do 65 on most passes and I've had it up to 92 on I-25. My wife's Xterra 4.0 can do any speed on any hill, I've gotten to experience the left lane in it and it's sweet.
Yep!
My 95 disco was the same way. Fun truck but slow.
