Thanks. I'm now kicking back watching the hobbit an unexpected journey extended edition. Sweating a bit. It's
not all that easy. I'm a big guy 6' 3" 285lb so this is a lot to move around.

No such thing as short work days for a teacher. They always work after hours grading and preparing lesson plans. I know I live with a teacher.

IIRC this references something I said earlier, right Tom? That was tongue-in-cheek, my daughter's a teacher.

Knowing that I'll race you for sure! You've got 6" and 100lbs on me so I might be able to win!

Interesting choice, I was given Oxycodone and muscle relaxers. I still have most of them, not a fan myself since they don't like to stay inside me.

Good luck and welcome to my world Mike. On the bright side, at least for me, I felt better not taking anything since I could sleep. Second, I have a friend with a bad back who chose to go the painkiller route instead of surgery and now has serious addiction. Not worth that!

Just got my shower. Special thanks to my amazing wife, carrying stuff, picking up towels and dropped soap ( not that way), etc. I just couldn't do this without her.

Don't know how you do it. I am 6'1" and #210. And I have difficulties moving myself around at times...

It's great to hear that you are handling all this like a champ! Wishing you continued and quick healing!

My dog just woke me up at 10:15am. Aparently he needed to go piss. LOL I was sleeping so well. I'm up and moving now and I'm feeling pretty good. Able to sit down at my PC for a bit.

Still debating internally if I should give up my dirt biking and just stick with 4x4s for a while.

5 months later - Physical Therapy is done!

Mike, my surgeon gave me clearance for 4x4, I'm guessing yours will be telling you what to avoid. Mine says no more horseback rides, bungee jumping, sky diving or gymnastics.

Huge milestone! Congrats! I can't wait to get to that point.

My doctor just told me to go to PT once an week instead of twice now. Even wants me to drop the amount of the nerve blockers (Gabepentin) I am taking in half. She thinks I am doing really well. Healing up faster than expected. I found this to be awesome news. I just need to remember not to push it even if I feel good. I have a LONG road still ahead of me and this is just the first phase.

    Here to everyone's recoveries!

That's good news Aaron. Hope you can get good results w/o having to do more work.

Perhaps the tough nut is that you'll either want to push things or you won't realize that you're pushing it - changing your perspective as to how much is too much.
