Default What BBQ grill do you camp with?

Personally I have used a model very similar to this over the last 20 years:
    https://www.amazon.com/Char-Broil-Ga...etop+gas+grill

Frankly, I have had my share of problems with them. I have probably owned 4 of them. The burners will eventually rust, get clogged, etc. One of them had the regulator stop working.

At this time I am looking to see what others BBQ on. I want something in a similar size since it is very compact and convenient. Propane or other fuel is a must since some areas do not allow for charcoal.

    What do you guys use?

    Don't laugh! I've done it.

I tend to pack light and a gas grill is a luxury I forgo (I do carry a gas stove). Not to mention usually becomes a greasy bear magnet that I'd rather not have in my vehicle. On the rare occasion I absolutely need to grill something and can't have a camp fire...

I used the Char Broil one like you but had issues with wind blowing it out. Last one I bought was a Blue Rhino like this one which has faired slightly better.

I have had the wind blow mine out in the past too. The flame has always been relatively weak on them. I am looking for a replacement, but want one that isn't too big, but that is reliable. I had considered one like this, but it is probably 2-3 times the size of my old one:

That one looks very similar to mine although its Char-Broil . I think Home depot discontinued them but I've had good luck with it. so far

I use the Webber q-grill. It has worked great for me and can hold 500 degrees all day. Their warranty and customer service is also amazing. Had some paint chipped off on the top and bottom of mine and they sent me brand new ones. Great company. Here is one like I have, though the top of mine is tan. https://www.amazon.com/Weber-5101000...=Weber+q+grill

I have used various grills, hibachi style charcoal and gas, made my own fire pit with charcoal base grate which we
used in grand staircase as we had to bring our own. Starts off with charcoal and a Weber grate, when we're done cooking we toss firewood on the charcoal and use it as a fire pit. Once cool in the morning we pack out our ashes. Base is from a smaller oil drum I cut out. There is a Weber charcoal grate sitting off the bottom on some bolts I ran through the sides about 3" from the bottom to allow air under the fire.

Going the snowpeak peak medium fire pit for my next one as it folds flat and has a carry case. Expensive but space is limited in my overland rig.

Good old Weber grills! They're made where I grew up and was the first job for many friends. I have a small one but typically just use the cooktop in my trailer these days.

I use the same thing. I've had it for well over 10 years. I bought mine in Nebraska when they first came out and it has served me very well. I have no complaints with it.
