Thinking of going somewhere next weekend that is fairly easy but somewhat challenging for a near stock rig. Besides the toy I have a 01 Jeep WJ with a 2.5" lift and 31's and would like to get out in it.
If interested, throw out suggestions.

I'm hoping to be able to finally join in on a run by next weekend but won't know until it gets closer so I'll be watching. Fairly easy would be appropriate.
Id be thinkin Slaughterhouse or ether of The Gulches..

I know what you mean Chris. I have been on the broken side of things this week in a bad way. I was just thinking of doing Georgia pass from 285 side to Breckinridge. Not too difficult of a trail but absolutely gorgeous. Not set in stone of course, still open to suggestions.
Hope you get back on your feet in a speedy Way!
Sam , what gulches do you refer to?
Gotcha, leave it to the majority decision as long as it's not too rough. The jeep has absolutely NO flex to it so should be quite interesting.
Never done the Longwaters, Dont have a clue.
Did the bottom 1/2 of Illinois but was on my own and didnt want to push it.
Did Slaughterhouse a while back, Fun trail and not too rough

I might be up to tag along. I just got my junk back together and would be up for a fairly easy shake down run if it's not too far from Denver.

Just my random comment from someone who will be out of town and not going: Georgia Pass and Boreas pass make for a nice loop connecting through Breck. Boreas is very easy - pretty much a dirt road and Georgia is also easy, especially if you go from Jefferson to Breck. Its not that far from Como back up 285 to Jefferson. Whatever you decide...have fun.

I might be in for this. I haven't been out since the anniversary run. What day are you thinking Tj, Saturday? I'll throw out another suggestion, Argentine pass.
Scott, either day is good for me. Where ever we decided to go in will most likely camp, so if we decide on Sunday I'll just camp and meet everyone in the morning, or if we go Saturday I'll just hang wherever we go and camp. Either way it's all good.
What day works best for everyone?
I wish I could go I love the area and 285 is such a better drive than 70, We are waiting for our Grand baby to grace us with his presence. She is due the end of July.

Illino and Missouri gulches are fun and easy, that while rainbow falls area Is really. Across the highway in the fire area is neat and trails everywhere. Metberry, long water, and Hackett I can't comment on as I've never done them yet, but I heard the diff snagging rock on Hackett has been filled in and no longer an issue. Yankee hill has gotten a bit tougher even since last fall, but still doable. Plenty of other trails in that area also, miner's gulch, mosQuito creek, mammoth gulch, pickle gulch, Gamble gulch. Across I-70 at Idaho springs there's a fun network of trails also. South Spring gulch to the top of Saxon is fun, and if you go all the way to the cell towers, a great view as well ( I helped build those sites 20+ yrs ago, drove up and down Saxon everyday, and what an office to work out of!!!!) A short hike from the cell site puts you at the top of Saxon with an unbelievable 360 deg. view also. Slaughterhouse is fun but if ran CCW, the climb up the back may be challenging for some stockies. Estes park area has Pole Hill, Johnny's Park, Rock Creek, Bunce School Rd., all doable in stock-ish rigs.
