    Default Memorial Weekend, Hackett/Longwater/Metberry Gulches

Myself and one other are headed to Hackett/Longwater/Metberry gulches over that weekend to do the last of the "Spring" wheeling and then start going up higher in elevation. Will be camping and all. Hope to see you there!

Louis, yes we do. Still on track for the weekend. Most likely will leave Friday afternoon and meet anyone who wants to go at 10am on Saturday at the OHV parking area. I and one other plan on staying up till Monday morning'ish dependent on weather. Might as well wheel it while the forest service still has it open (derogatory)...

Say 10-10:30 at the OHV parking lot, will be waiting on one 06 LJ on 37's that day as well.

Ideally I will be camped just past the OHV parking or to the trail on the left of Cedar rd. Not too far in since Im trailering and have the overhead camper.

Yep, south end. By Divide Co. If you take 1-25 to the springs then up 24, usually takes 1.5-1.75 hours to get there. 285 through Deckers takes about 2 hours.

Sunday is fine, I am meeting Louis Saturday around 10 and we will most likely run Longwater or whatever he wants to do. Then Sunday with you and one of my friends from work. My two other friends that where going to go ended up both ironically with medical problems so I just decided to bring the camper and wheel all Holiday weekend with whomever.

So yes, Sunday say around 10-10:30 am

    Dana 60,, yum!

    TJ
    We want down mettberry yesterday.
We got out there a little late in the morning so we didn't go down south on Cedar my Road.
Mettberry was in good shape Compaired to this time last year!

I bet I upset the large group camping at the bottom.
As the bypass everyone uses at the slab is to be closed...thus the pile of barbed wire and fence poles....I put them back up!
Guess the f150 and liberty at the bottom may have some work ahead of them to get out.
The. Posts are deep now. I carry a 6lb sledge in the jeep for fence repairs.
I am debating contact the forest service and donating some time and steel plate to make some closed to vehicle traffic signs!

Amazed at some other strip was saw....
A for focus at mile 21.5 from the north end. So at the rough section on cedar About 2 miles from mettberry. Stuck on its belly and chin hurried in the dirt!

Our plus one had a great time. Tina is new to wheeling, this was here 2nd trip.
She has a JKU share with a small lift and 265 coppers.

All in all was a good day.
