Timing chain broke this AM and wrecked the engine. Anyone have a need for this vehicle and can tow?

Thought I'd offer it here before selling it for scrap.

I am in Longmont. The vehicle is at a shop where it was towed today. Basically I-25 and Hwy 66.

That's good stuff!! Thanks Tom.......I remember in high school auto mechanics it was tough to find anything to work on sometimes, and all the book knowledge doesn't do you a lick of good until it's applied. Glad to see that work out for the kids.

Yep, its hard to get cars these days.
Hardest part is getting them to us.
We pretty much handle it our selfs on our own dime but it works out in the end.

I figured as much. Was curious if there would be a car to crawl on.

My brother has done similar things before at other events. Typically I think they reach out to a junkyard and get a car that they plan to crush anyways (good parts already removed). I think the yard will "donate" the use of the car since they will get it back. The yard also got some sort of a sign posted indicating "Car Courteousy of XYZ Salvage Yard". In the end everyone wins and nobody is really out anything.
