Nice link Paul. I like the simplicity of a switch wired in series with existing starter relay or neutral safety switch.

this is on my short list, but I'm going to have to bring it to the shop up the block- I am red-green color blind so I try not to do my own wiring. Can't qualify as an electrician or a pilot, or join the bomb squad if you're colorblind, just some fun facts. Can anyone recommend a switch and wire gauge? I want to put together a "kit" to keep the labor down.
If you are breaking the control wiring for starter relay, it will have very little amperage running through it to pull in relay. Any toggle switch would work to handle load. I would imagine 16-18g to work fine but for more accuracy.

I imagine a relay is under 1 amp but the circuit may be longer than your wire, going through sensors and back. Someone who has done more with automotive amps may be more help.
