    Default Weston Pass Crash

I'm planning to run Breakneck, Browns, Weston and Hagerman Passes as a single route this coming spring and have been looking at videos of them, and of the Garmin VIRB Elite camera to see how people lay out the GPS data. Hagerman is part of the Colorado Back Country Discovery Route which is big with the bike crowd, so lots of motorcycle videos come up. This one is a guy on a motorcycle going over Weston with a VIRB on his helmet, it goes south at about a minute in, he just wipes out. It's amazing how little it takes for the bike to go down, at some point he looks back and you can see a small drainage run across the trail and not much else. Glad he seems OK.

Section 4 of the COBDR that looks like a blast !
I've ridden a lot of desert/power line roads in my days and it looks like his front tire caught a rut and his steering looks loose. Your best friend on those types of roads is a "Scotts steering stabilizer" 2-3 clicks up.
Let us know how your ride goes .

Yeah, another reason why I don't like heavy bikes in the dirt...

I'm doing it in my Jeep, not a donorcycle. I'll probably post it up here when I do, depending on the day and such, but it's all easy, anything 4x4 can solo all of it in good weather. This is Browns / Breakneck, the hardest part of the 4 passes I'm talking about, not exactly the COBDR just a nice long easy day.

Yah, Weston is super easy. Drove it in 2wd a couple of years ago. Could have probably driven it in a sedan.
