    Default Go Broncos!

Man it was awesome watching the Packers lose tonight. I have listened to friends and family talk crap for two weeks now. It was nice that the Denver O finally showed up.

So for those who watched the game on TV, did it seem like the ref's were rooting for GB? We counted 5 bad penalties and two missed delay of game calls.

But hey, 7-0! And the D didn't win it alone for us tonight! Hoping this will finally shut the haters up a little.

Really glad to see the offense step it up. From the very first snap, Peyton was on-top and on-point. Really great game to watch; I can only imagine what it was like to be there.

Don't really have an opinion on the refs; I think, in general, they're pretty tough on Denver already, with a lack of consistency between the two teams.

Peyton could actually throw a spiral. I wonder if the feeling in his fingertips is back.

    And the defense: HOLY CRAP!

And my wife was at the game. She's a sad cheesehead......

Knew there would be a big turnout of them this year again but were not as many or as loud as the last time they rolled through town. Was happy that they stimulated our economy a little by paying such stupid high prices. Sad that some "faithful" season ticket holders were ok selling their tickets. Sure I could have paid off my whole season with this one game, but I wouldn't have gotten the experiences I did. Those were priceless. Especially watching the three different Packers fans having to be escorted out for their horrible behavior. Can't believe they came into our house and expected to do well. SMH, we have PFM and one of the best defenses in the NFL...

Feeling isn't back, he hasn't had it since the surgeries. He just started to understand and get comfortable with the new offense. Says a lot about the team that they could get 6 wins under their belt without much of an offense. PFM may be getting older and he has always had some limitations, but he is PFM, and always will be. Happy as ever to have him here. I know the haters will never stop, but it is showing how pathetic their whining about Manning has become.

Lol, vocal communication is not my friend today. Lost my voice by halftime then got it back as the 3rd was starting, but it was gone again before the game ended. Now I sound like I am going through puberty, either that or have a very bad cold. Either way, it isn't a great way to be talking with clients and suppliers today....

Peyton couldn't throw a spiral in the first 6 games. Well, maybe every 5th throw or so. Most of his throws wobbled and hung in the air. Which is why he got intercepted a lot more than he had touchdowns and why his completion rate was horrible and why the offense didn't perform. Being comfortable with the offense and being able to throw a spiral aren't really the same thing.

Sorry. Peyton's spiral had nothing to do with the way the offense performed in the first 6 games. Brand new playbook, coaching, style, offensive line, etc. were the problems. It takes time for a new offensive unit to come together.

You can rag all you want on Manning, but the Broncos are a better team right now with him than without him.

So a new playbook means he forgets how to put a spiral on a ball? I understand now. Thanks for pointing that out.

When you throw a ball that wobbles, it doesn't go as far and it tends to float. The longer the ball is in the air the more time the defense has to adjust and get under it and intercept it. And a wobbling ball is harder for the bronco receivers to catch. If the quarterback can't get the ball accurately to his receivers, the offense can't perform as well as if the ball zips right to them. So yeah, his spirals (or lack thereof) had a lot to do with the offense not performing. If you can't develop a passing game, it's easy to stay at home to protect against the run and then it's tough to get a running game going.

Game 7, lots of tight spirals. When you throw a spiral, the ball goes where you intend it and gets there very quickly.

Watch those previous 6 games. Lots of ducks getting tossed up. Tell me again how a new playbook effects your throwing mechanics? Did Kubiak write up those new plays so manning threw the ball where the nose of the ball purposefully dipped as soon as he released and the ball hit the ground at the feet of his receivers? Did he craft in those wobbly rainmakers that the defense had a field day picking off?

That's funny. You're so blinded by your love for Broncos that you can't even distinguish criticism for an observation. Are you the guy all tatted up with Broncos tattoos? If so, that would explain a lot here.

Show me where I "hated" on Manning. I pointed out that in the first 6 games his throws were inconsistent and inaccurate. Everyone, except for you, could see that. His stats reflected that. I watched as those balls came out of his hand awkwardly. I watched those balls either fall short of the receivers or float over their heads because of poor throwing mechanics. But something changed in the last game- like he could feel his fingertips again or something (or maybe Kubiak finally put "throw spiral" in that new playbook you like to hide behind).

You want to see me hate on a bronco quarterback? Bring up Cutler or Tebow.

Some poor decisions and not the best play from Broncos but the refs were terrible. How do you call a facemask after the team huddles and then lines up for next play?

The ref's have been horrible all around the league this year. Horrible.

But one can not blame the ref for tonight's loss. The Broncos have that on their shoulders alone. The Colts flat out beat the Broncos on multiple levels tonight. And it was really embarrassing to see some of the defense lose their composure. The lack of class they showed is really sad.

A Bronco great, Karl Mecklenburg, had this to say after tonight's game:

"I had flashbacks to Romo when Talib delivered the eye poke cheap shot at the end of the game while wearing day glow orange gloves in case the ref might miss it. Von Miller started the foolishness on that play but one play does not win or loose a game. There were lots of dropped passes in the first half. Poor protection got Peyton hit on both interception throws. Defensive penalties kept Colts drives alive. The good thing is that these are all issues that can be fixed. The bad thing is that we had a bunch of injuries today, none of which seemed serious, but they are issues that the injured players will have to play through. Talib will more than likely be fined and suspended for the eye thing. Not smart football."

So when I said earlier that he played great coming out of the bye week- sorta like he was all rested up, I was shot down and was told that it was the new playbook and his inability to throw a spiral was not physically related. Then we learn that he was a bit banged up going into Sunday and he probably had the worst game of his professional career. Kubiak even mentioned that he probably shouldn't have started him. And now we learn that his foot and his ribs are hurt- and taking several more shots during the game didn't exactly help. It's no wonder he couldn't throw a ball with enough on it to get to his receivers before the defense could readjust and intercept it. Rib injuries are a mother.

Im sure I'll be told that we are still better off with "PFM" but when he got benched, the offense actually started to get into a rhythm. Peyton is all about records and he almost had another: ending the longest "no home shutout" streak in football. If PFM can't jive with the new playbook, perhaps it's time to find someone who can. Are you a Bronco fan that likes to see the team do well or would you rather stick to the hurt future hall-o-famer and see how many interceptions he can throw in a single game?

its was the right move to bench him and the right move to start Brock in Chicago. Let Peyton rest. There's a reason there aren't many 39 year olds playing football. When it's playoff time, we need him rested. He's no use to anyone all banged up.

I would have to agree with you 100%. We never really know what is going on with the team, just what they let the press hear. One thing about Denver, we pay these players a ton of money to represent our city in a sport, so we expect them to do their job. If they are not doing their job they got to be yanked, even if they are Peyton Manning. It's not about being a hater it's about being a tough boss that expects results. The success the offense had when Brock came into the game was because of the defense KC was playing. They were setting back and allowing the underneath stuff, but key is Brock was hitting his receivers. I like Brock and was glad to see him step up and have success. I look forward to seeing Peyton back at the helm but not until he can get us the results we desire.
