    Default Lifted IFS cv boots

So I have a 2.5/3" front lift on my 98 4runner. Have had it for about two years this way. I am currently running CVJ offroad CV boots. I just noticed my drivers side is torn. Again. That is number three since last summer(oh the fun). I have not had the 4runner off road this year. Is a 1" diff drop going to help at all? Luckly it is about $25 for CVJ to inspect, repack with grease and put a new boot on, but it is a PITA to pull the "axle". I know it is part of having a lifted IFS truck, but really, pavement is tearing upgraded off road boots?

I don't run CVJ but the only tear I had was due to my sway bar hitting the boot after losing a nut. Not much help but it's all I have that relates.

Might need to consider locking hubs. I think you can get them from a 95-99 Tacoma. Might require some minor custom work if you have ABS. In addition to the hubs, you also need the knuckle and CV shafts that are made for the locking hub version (different splines). With the locking hubs your CV's won't spin in 2wd and will reduce the wear drastically.

if you going to go and do all that......mught as well soild swap it.
There is something running beyond its limits.
the cv shaft is at to steep an angle so the drop should help......
