Trevor's intro
Hi, my name is Trevor I am a senior in high school who likes going wheeling and being outdoors.... yeah, that is boring what is fun is my rig and what I am doing with it. I had a 93 dodge Dakota for a while and I now have a 1988 Toyota 4runner. The story about it is that I picked it up off craigslist for $1500 and it has a 1.5 inch body lift, on brand new bfg mud terrains, both a hard top and a soft top,very clean interior and exterior with just a small rust patch under the gas cap, re geared down to 4:88 Yeah pretty baller. The bad- no engine so I went ahead and got a 22re off a guy at rising Sun Toyota forums, for 100 bucks. It was sitting in a back yard for a while and had a turned bearing. So rebuild kit we go
got that from perfect engine off the interwebs and started doing the work Woohoo! So near two months later and a lot of blood cursing I got a few buddies together to drop the engine just yesterday, now all that is left is to route abd connect the wiring harness and then turn the key

I am now playing with timing and idle. She is idling really high but I can't turn her too far down without her sputtering but I've got it at 1100 rpm and that is sounding a lot better. I've got the soft top on with everything rolled up, partly because it looks cool and part because I need to figure out my rear window abd get it rolling up. I will hopefully be on a trail here soon, so if anyone has any suggestions on a good one to take her on for the maiden voyage I'm open
