Default Welding challenge of the day: welding by mirror

It's been a while since I had to pull out a mirror for welding besides for inspection purposes. But today I had to pull out a mirror to finish welding up parts of an exo cage for a client. Had about blind 12 joints that needed welded together. Was a little nervous about it as I hadn't done it in years, probably since my days at Coors. But it went really well and zero issues except for once when I dropped the mirror and cracked it's handle. Some of the others guys around the shop today told me I did so well "because of my backwards personality". It was nice to have a different kind of challenge for something you do day in and day out.

Hmmmm, looks familiar...takes some skill to burn in a mirror, nicely done.

I can teach you how to blow out your back but other than that.... probably not the best person to learn from. Thanks for the kind words though

Man its been years since I too had to weld by mirror. My mirror is so pitted from spatter I can't hardly see in it anymore. You're quite right Aaron it is a challenge and I don't plan doing it again for a while.

    Nice job by the way!

Yeah, but now the weld is backwards... and closer than it appears.
