Run on 8/3, possibly 8/2; looking for Red Cone report

Hey all,

Brother in law coming to town and headed out for a run Monday 8/3 for sure and possibly Sunday 8/2 if I don't have to work. Red Cone is on my list for this year and I did see a carnage report in another thread but does anyone know conditions up there? I've done Argentine/McClellan to death but it would be an interesting ride for him as an alternative.

Open to suggestions from any that want to roll.

Red Cone is clear. Buddy of mine ran it last week.

As of 7/18 red cone is clear, but Webster pass was blocked by snow at the fork, only atv can fit so we ended up going through silvethorne.

I am planning on picking up my driveshaft today. And then, I will be ready to head back to that hill! The trail is open and clear. Webster Pass is still closed as far as I know.

Ran Redcone for the 1st time yesterday. What a great trail. Saw a few jeeps coming up Webster, so I assume it's open.

Red Cone is one of my favorites. I think I've run it 3 maybe 4 times.

Okay, so I'm going to throw this run on the calendar. Start with Red Cone, small connection on Webster to Radical Hill and then Saints John down to Montezuma. about 18 miles in all and depending on how many stops are made, could be done for a complete day. Thanks for the reports all

there is a report on Twin Cone thar can be seen from Red Cone.
So I would bet it is clean up there.

I have the driveshaft. I got it fixed at Drive Line services shop in Boulder. The place in S Denver is too far for me to go.

Just ran Red Cone on Saturday and it's open for sure... the lower section of the trail was a bit rougher than normal (got delayed in trail traffic for almost an hour waiting for an Xterra that had to winch its way over a couple of obstacles).
