When I bought my TJ, I first invested in a snatch strap and tow hooks, a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and a CB. To me, those are minimum requirements for hitting the trails. As has been said, a stock Jeep is incredibly capable and you're going to love it. The next thing I installed was a 2" budget boost; back in 2007. I chose the Rubicon Express BB; it came with shocks, bump stop spacers, and spring spacers. Retailed for ~ $250.00. I had great success with that kit.

I installed the kit myself. I'm an IT professional by-trade, but I wanted the hands-on experience of familiarizing myself with the Jeep. I'd recommend considering the install yourself; you'll save a bunch of money, and you'll value the experience. Folks on this site would be glad to lend you a hand; myself included.

    Good luck with your build.

I was looking at my front end coil springs and at the top I noticed a 2 inch rubber spacer,is that stock or a body lift?

The rubber isolator in there is only about a 1/4-1/2 inch thick. If it is 2 inches you have a 2" BB lift using coil spring spacers. If you have a body lift the bumpers wont line up as high on the body.

Thas the same as mine has in the front.
Many have this done from the dealership.
Mine come from Utah had the BB lift, 15x10 wheels with4.5 inch bacl spacing, and stupid 6 inch fenders.

a couple of weeks ago I put a 3/4" spacer in my front suspension to compensate for my winch. In the pic my top finger is touching the new spacer, my lower finger is touching the factory rubber isolator that I reinstalled along with the spacer. so that's what they look like.

Yeah, that's a 2" spacer lift, similar to what I mentioned above.
