Yankee Hill this coming Saturday, meet at the Central City Cemetery at 10:00, see how far it's open. Hopefully the big snowfield will be treacherous! If there's interest I'll post it as a run.

I would, but the old girl isn't ready yet. Just a few little things I still have to get done.
You've got a week!
just found this on youtube, I really like the compass on the left of the screen. Looks passable...
Snow forecast for Thursday in Denver- with potentially a good amount. Probably means a bunch up at that elevation.
Yankee Hill is completely passable as of Saturday.
I went all the way through Yankee Hill last weekend from Central City to Alice, including hitting the top of Yankee Hill. There was still some snow, but you guys should have no issue.
Sounds like fun but, With Shane poss trans thingy we wana stay kinda close.
___________
In a never ending search for the proper mix of dirt & rock !
Weather dependent I'm in. Could be working or sleeping off work - landscape & snow don't mix.
I may be in. Will update as we get closer and watch the weather.
I'm in.
I heard today it's passable. I am swapping my 95 disco engine (again) this weekend or I would be there! Have fun and take pics!
the weather for Central City looks like chit for the weekend, I think it'll be more fun on a nicer day. Any info on Kingston Peak status?
Brandon was up there last Saturday said there is deep snow(waist deep) towards the top, he barried the ranger to the frame and took 2 winches to pull him back out.
A week from this Saturday, on Saturday May 30, the weather forecast for Central City is 70s and partly cloudy. Anyone interested?
I will try to make this happen! First day after school gets out!
Sunday is the better day weather-wise, 60% chance of rain in Central City on Saturday, 0% on Sunday.
Here's a nice video posted 5/20 of Yankee Hill, looks like a mudfest. I like how he used angles and slow-motion in it.
I'm going to be up there on Sunday the 31st for sure, planning on getting to the cemetery at 11:00 if anyone wants to meet up. I'm bringing my trailer for one more shakedown run and hope to go across Yankee Hill Rd to the open area above St. Mary's that is in the video below at about :15, turn around and come back. It's an easy run, shouldn't take more than an hour each way if conditions are good.
This area is pretty dry as of Sunday, and it was BUSY!! Lots of trucks / trailers / atvs at the cemeteries and most of the camping by Bald mtn rd was in use.
Anyone interested next weekend?
Most if it looks like this:
