Hey all. Thanks for letting me in. I happened to run into a few of your guys while out wheeling.

Yes. That is me. The truck was sliding to the driver side more then it was going back. Being by myself, except for my 6 year old daughter, I felt it was time to quit while I was ahead.

So this week I have spent some money on recovery gear. Winch, straps, come along, tree saver, chain, snatch block, all of which will now reside in the truck full time.

Here is the rig as she sits now.





Here she is when I started sliding Saturday.



And here she is when I said that was enough drifting. I had made it about 6 more inches back down the trail and about 2 ft down the side of the hill.


Might have made it the rest of the way out on my own. Wasn't worth the risk with my kid.

Recovery gear is a must. I got stuck last year in a snow drift with my then 5 year old in the middle of no where outside of Alma. If it was not for my winch, I would have been screwed big time. I saved up and got a full on TJM recovery kit.
