    Default Custom Computer Builds

I've been building my own machines for a long time, and I really enjoy doing it so I'm starting to do some side work building custom computers.

If anyone is looking for a custom machine, anything from gaming to video editing, even just a great looking mini case for general internet and office use, give me a shout and we can get something rolling.

    My latest build...

    Nice cable management.

Mobo supplemental power couldn't be run behind? Too tight or no opening at the top of the case?

I think you can get reverse direction (connector) data cables for the HDD...

Thanks! I really hate messy wires and make a reasonable effort to get them out of sight or at least make sure they don't look like a rats nest.

The 8 pin mobo power didn't have a cutout up top so had to be run in front. But clever use of the graphics card keeps it in its place.

After I took the pics I still wasn't happy with HDD pwr/data cable sticking out at me like that, and after couple clips with some tin snips on the back of the HDD sled I was able to reverse the direction of the drive so all cables are completely out of sight.

Nice. Like Jim said, it looks great. I built my own computer back in 2007 - I think - and it's still going strong!

Thanks! If you've got a system that's been running that long, must have done something right.

I have another rig that I think is from ~2004 that is primarily a media machine, it's old and ugly but works.

Thought I would share my latest build. This is a mini itx system. Overall dimensions are 12"x8"x3.5". The client wanted something for work station use that he could take with him during his longer duration trips.

    Features:
    MSI ITX motherboard
    FM2 socket w/ AMD A10 APU.
    8gb ballistic RAM
    120gb 840evo samsung SSD
    LG slim DVD RW
Mini itx 250 watt power supply
    Windows 7 Home

For reference that is a 19" Display

    It's tight but everything fits.

I just built a system with and amd a10, I love the overall performance, it does great on Photoshop and premiere pro. I can even play BF4 and GTA 4 on medium to high settings with good fps, and i have yet to add a separate graphics card. My next system will be just like the mini you just built!

Good job and very clean! Those minis are a PITA, that why i bought a mid for my first build!

I agree these new AMD APU's are much much better than the APU's of old. this is also why I selected AMD for this build. I wanted to keep the small form but still have plenty of graphics performance.

This was the first mini ITX build for me. It was a little challenging getting everything to fit, especially with my gorilla hands. But eventually got everything in and working. Pretty pleased with the overall results.

Could one of you guys "rebuild" my laptop. It's really slow and hardly have patience for it. We have a guy at work who told he can reboot it or something but evrytime I bring up the topic he's always too busy to work on it. I'm not a little bit behind when it comes to computers otherwise I think it would be neat to tear into it myself.
