Who wants to take point? I've never been on the trail, so not familiar with it.

ill take point .. i grew up on these trails since a few months old till now imma check where that fire station is and see if i meet there or at trail head
I got the meet point from Rick. I have no idea where this fire station is except it is on county road 68 where you turn right to get to the trail.
Here is what he told me:
Take 285 to pine jct,go left and take through Deckers to county road 68,take to Fire station and go right(at Fire Station)to get to Metberry...Fire station is a good place to meet people from the springs...
what time you meeting ????? the rsvp does not say
It does now. I was thinking 9:00am
I changed the meet place to the trail head. Probably be easier to meet there.
i have no idea where CR 68 is lol cant find on the map but okie ill be at trail by 9 am
I used the coordinates from the stay the trail website to map out the route here they are: N39 04.705 W105 16.321
that will get you right to the trailhead.
CR68 for the crew coming from 24 would be pretty far out of the way. I think you'd have to take 67 north then almost zig zag west to get to the trail.
I have been mapping it from Fort Collins and it is actually quicker to go to the springs. A few more miles but if there is no traffic it takes less time. 67 would definitely be more scenic though.
So is this set up for the 5th apr then. If it is count me in.
Maybe I can make it. Anyone know if there is trailer/tow rig parking at the trail head, or is the fire station the best place to park it?
It's been a long time sice I was there but in the map you can see that you need to turn off of hwy67 onto Westcreek Rd. You follow that down to the fire station where you turn off on Stump Rd. which is cr68 I think.
Then in the second map you see where Stump Rd. intersects with fs360 which is also Cedar Mountain Rd. This is the road to the trailheads and they are quite a ways further on, several miles if I remember right.
Metberry used to have a sign and I believe there's plenty of room all along fs360 for trailer parking. It's not the easiest trail to find. I might possibly go along - don't know yet.
Its a drive and a half from Fort Collins, last time I did this one I said the night at a buddies trailer in Buena Vista to cut the driving time down, plus we ran spring creek the day before. We did drive straight home afterwards but that made for a long day.
I was gonna say, I think it will be 3hrs from FoCo. Buena Vista is about 5 or 6 from here. It is far, but to go wheeling this time of year after the flood last year we NoCo people have few options.
